The cinéma programme at the Institut français d’Ecosse screens a new film every Wednesday at 2:00pm and 6:45pm. These events are free, but for members only. We invite you to book early and if you are not yet a member of the Institut français d’Ecosse, we invite you to join. Our film this week is Vent du Nord by Walid Mattar.
North of France. The factory where Hervé is working will have to move. He is the only one worker to accept this fact, because he is chasing another destiny : to become a fisherman and pass on this passion to his son.
Tunis’s council estate. The factory is relocated. Foued thinks it’s a good opportunity to find a job, help his mother and seduce the woman he loves. Hervé and Foued trajectpries ressemble each other and enter into a life long rythm of call and response.
